Internship Placements

We offer placements in a wide range of industries, both for profit and non-profit organizations in employment areas such as marketing, advertising, business administration, communications, social services, finance, technology, healthcare and the arts. We will work closely with you to identify the best placement to meet your needs.

As the sixth largest city in the United States, with thriving industries around medical and healthcare, communications, social service provision, transportation, banking and technology, Philadelphia serves as an ideal location for an urban work experience.


COURSES

Intern Philly offers an exciting mix of coursework, cultural engagement and practical work experience designed to help you make the most of your experience:

Summer Option 1: (8 Credits)

  • Cornerstone course (4 credits)

  • One elective (4 credits)

  • Placement 3.5 days per week.

Summer Option 2: (4 Credits)

  • Cornerstone course (4 credits)

  • Placement 4-5 days per week.

Semester Option 1: (16 Credits)

  • Cornerstone course (4 credits)

  • Three electives (4 credits each)

  • Placement 3.5 days per week.

Semester Option 2: (12 Credits)

  • Cornerstone course (4 credits)

  • Two electives (4 credits each)

  • Placement 4-5 days per week.

Cornerstone Course: INPR 310 - Work in Thought & Action (4 credits)

A dynamic experiential education course providing the reflection framework and research support to maximize a student’s learning from a work placement experience and connect it to both their course of study and their career aspirations.
